Original Hyperforce Cast Included Ciara Hanna

Power Rangers Hyperforce, the first ever Power Rangers table-top role playing game was originally going to include Ciara Hanna in its cast.

Hanna is best known as playing Gia the Yellow Ranger on Power Rangers Megaforce, and was asked to return to the franchise to portray Vesper the Black Ranger on Power Rangers Hyperforce.

In an interview with That Hashtag Show, Hanna explained why she turned down the role.

“I was supposed to do [Power Rangers Hyperforce] but I couldn’t. I was supposed to be a Ranger but I was filming in Kentucky so I had to deny it, but I’m hoping to be a guest star on it because it’s a really amazing project I think.” – Ciara Hanna, Power Rangers Megaforce

Had Hanna accepted the role, she would have gone down in Power Rangers history as the first female Black Ranger character.

Saban Brands and Hyper RPG would go on to cast American voice actress Cristina Vee into the role, who has quickly ascended into one of the show’s fan favorites.

Hanna would have joined Peter Sudarso and Paul Schrier as actors who have previously been a part of the Power Rangers TV show, returning to the franchise for Power Rangers Hyperforce.

Having already secured guest appearances from past Power Rangers cast members including Jason David Frank, Karan Ashley, and Erin Cahill, only time will tell if Ciara Hanna makes an appearance on the popular Tuesday night web show.

Power Rangers Hyperforce currently live streams on Twitch every Tuesday at 9pm ET, and features a cast of five Power Rangers portraying Time Force Ranger cadets who must band together to defeat an ancient evil who is set on unraveling the very fabric of the universe.

  1. I got one question – Why Ciara Hanna as Gia Moran or Cameron Jebo as Orien? Does that mean the Neo-PR fans would want nothing to do with John-Mark Loudermilk as Noah Carver or Azim Rizk as Jake Holling or…even…..Andrew M. Gray as Troy Burrows & Christina Masterson as Emma Goodall anymore?

  2. Did you know that I refuse to watch Super Megaforce, including most of the episodes? You know which ones?

    1. I’ll tell you what I don’t like – Earth Fights Back, Blue Saber Saga, Spirit of the Tiger, Power of Six, United as one 😡😠 (which I seriously HATE the most, and which Mr. Tzachor was so blind and stupid of choosing Gokaiger episode 29 😡😠 for this), All Hail Prince Vekar, Emperor Mavro, The Wrath and Legendary Battle (or The Legenday Battle Extended Edition).

  3. There’s one simple answer to all of your questions: Jonathan Tzachor. He’s the one responsible for screwing up the entirety of (Super) Megaforce. The only thing that makes watching at least a little bit barrable is the cameos, but you have to sit trough some 20+ episodes to actually get to them.

This season is actually the reason I don’t watch PR anymore. I just don’t want to get my hopes up and then be disappointed again. The Extended Version of the Legenday Battle IS disappointing because the entire thing is a debacle (and even more in its regular version), but the extra scenes – again – made the episode wachable for me.

So, yes… Jonathan Tzachor. Sure glad he was fired afterwards.
