UPDATE: The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers LEGO set garnered the necessary 10,000 fan votes to receive a review by the LEGO Group. Unfortunately, the set was declined as the LEGO Group decided not to move forward with the project.

Power Rangers fans can vote to support a Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers LEGO set by clicking here!

Bruce Lowell (@bruceywan), an avid Power Rangers fan, has given fans the ability to support the first ever Power Rangers LEGO set on the company’s official Ideas website. On this platform, fans can join Bruce in pledging their support for the idea, and with 10,000 votes, will successfully push the project in front of the LEGO group for potential production.

The set includes the 7 primary Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, each with civilian heads and helmets. The set would also include Alpha 5 as part of the Command Center. Fans can read the official description below, with the proposal’s photos to follow.

Ay-yi-yi-yi-yi!  Rita’s escaped!  Time to recruit a team of teenagers with attitude!  Enter the MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS: Zack, Kimberly, Billy, Trini, Jason and Tommy, each ready to morph and save Angel Grove from the likes of Rita Repulsa and her horde of evil space aliens!

Teleport to the Command Center and behold the viewing globe as Zordon and Alpha 5 prepare the POWER RANGERS for their next battle. May the Power protect you!

The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers LEGO set will include Zordon’s Command Center, complete with computer terminals, power spires, viewing globe, and custom-printed energy tube featuring Zordon’s unique, studded head! Minifigures included are:

  • Zack the Black Ranger (with removable helmet)
  • Kimberly the Pink Ranger (with removable helmet)
  • Billy the Blue Ranger (with removable helmet)
  • Trini the Yellow Ranger (with removable helmet)
  • Jason the Red Ranger (with removable helmet)
  • Tommy the Green Ranger (with removable helmet)
  • Tommy the White Ranger (with removable helmet)
  • Alpha 5

ARTIST’S NOTE: I’ve loved the concept of LEGO Ideas from its inception and have been impressed by every set released.  I’ve been waiting for the right idea and the right time to try my hand at a project.  As a lifelong LEGO builder (and Power Rangers fan!), and now the proud father of two Power Rangers fans, this set seemed like a no-brainer.  Please help me make LEGO Power Rangers a reality; if not for me and my sons, than for everyone to celebrate the upcoming movie and/or the Power Rangers’ 25th anniversary in 2018!

  1. I’m very disappointed that the LEGO Company did not approve this project. And no definite good reason was given by them as to why the project was declined.
