Beast Morphers Casting For Comedic Duo

PRBMCDR042718

Is another comedic duo on the way in Power Rangers Beast Morphers?

It sure appears that way after the newest casting sides for Power Rangers’ upcoming 26th season look to hire a male and female comedic duo role.

Tentatively under the names Warren and Cecilia, the duo will be comedic secret agents who work at a secret agency, presumably the same agency that creates the Power Rangers Beast Morphers. As always, details from casting sides are subject to change.

In the casting sides, Warren and Cecila find a box of chocolates addressed to the Power Rangers. Incredibly tempted by the delicious treats, the duo decides to eat them, ignoring the possibility that the chocolates may be a trap. After consuming the entire box, an unnamed Commander of the secret agency informs the duo that the chocolates came from an evildoer and anyone who eats them will be vaporized. Warren and Cecilia begin to panic in fear.

Some fans have speculated if the comedic duo of Warren and Cecilia could become the Gold and Silver Rangers, both of whom are slated to debut later in the season. Both the Gold and Silver Rangers has comedic personalities in Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters, the Japanese Super Sentai season fueling Power Rangers Beast Morphers’ adaption.

This would be the second consecutive Power Rangers season in which Saban Brands has attempted to take on a comedic duo, following Victor and Monty in Power Rangers Ninja Steel.

Power Rangers Beast Morphers will premiere on Nickelodeon in 2019, and will be the first season under Saban Brands’ new partnership with Hasbro. The season was first announced at Toy Fair 2018 (click here for the full recap).

Fans can find the official Power Rangers Beast Morphers synopsis below.

Set in the future, a secret agency combines a newly discovered substance called “Morph-X” with animal DNA to create the Power Rangers Beast Morphers team. The Rangers must fight off an evil sentient computer virus bent on taking over the source of all Ranger power, the Morphin Grid itself. Featuring never-before-seen leather suits and an all-new beast-themed arsenal (including dynamic new Zords), fans should get ready for a season full of secret ops and morphinominal fun.

The core team features three Rangers – Red, Blue, and Yellow.

  1. I don’t know if the duo will become the gold and silver rangers since in Japan they were both male. But the show did switch some male yellow rangers to female from other series so who knows?

  2. People seriously thinking this would be good loooool, have u forgotten samurai-ninja steel, the franchise has been a joke ever since saban got it back

  3. Everyone stop judging the future on the past. Give them a chance to improve and don’t use the past to define unseen events when anyone can improve when given the opportunity.

  4. This is going to suck. I really thought they were going to change…. WE DON’T WANT COMEDIC RELIEF CHARACTERS IN A SHOW THAT IS TOO SCARED TO GET SERIOUS ENOUGH TO WARRANT RELIEF…. That is simple, RPM needed Ziggy and Lightspeed needed Joel. But the neo Saban era needs to learn how to make villains scary and stories with tension. Stop with the stupid comedy. I swear if this show is awful I’m through with this dumb franchise

    1. it’s almost certain at this point, Becca Barnes is still head writer and Judd Lynn is still a sorry show runner. I actually had hope for like a few weeks. Guess I’ll be sticking to the comics and hoping for a animated series or a more mature Netflix spin off

    1. Joseph hate to burst your bubble, but Zyuohger will be adapted in the US in 2020 as Hasbro’s Power Rangers Beast Supermorphers.

It would be the final Super season for good.

  5. even when there is a deadline to do the casting I need the script I had no one to help me make the other character
