Power Rangers Hyperforce has introduced its sixth Ranger!
On last night’s episode, the 12th of the 25-episode tabletop RPG web series, the Silver Time Force Ranger debuted and was revealed to be portrayed by Yoshi Sudarso.
Sudarso is best known as playing Koda the Blue Ranger on Power Rangers Dino Charge, in addition to being the brother of Peter Sudarso, who plays Marv the Red Ranger on Power Rangers Hyperforce.
This would mark the first Power Rangers team to feature two real-life brothers.
On Power Rangers Hyperforce, Yoshi Sudarso portrays Joe Shih, the brother of Marv who arrives as the Silver Time Force Ranger to help the team in their battle against the villainous faction known as The Alliance. With the ability to cloak himself as invisible, Joe finishes the episode teleporting away while leaving the door open to return down the road.
After the episode concluded, the cast of Power Rangers Hyperforce revealed that the show does not have sufficient budget for a permanent sixth Ranger. However, due to high fan demand for another hero to join the team, Hyper RPG worked with Saban Brands to bring in Yoshi Sudarso as the Silver Time Force Ranger, likely indicating that Joe will only make occasional appearances throughout the season.
Power Rangers Hyperforce is the first licensed property to live-stream a table-top role playing game on Twitch. Fans can tune in every Tuesday night from 6:00 – 9:00PM PT, live on www.twitch.tv/hyperrpg.
Power Rangers Hyperforce is set in the year 3016 at Time Force Academy. A team of Time Force Ranger cadets must band together to defeat an ancient evil who is set on unraveling the very fabric of the universe. Under the leadership of their mentor, Jen Scott, and with the show’s Game Master, Malika Lim, the newly minted Rangers will cross both time and space to complete their mission while running into many familiar eras (and faces) along the way.
