Saban’s Power Rangers movie releases on home video June 27!
And as fans anxiously await official confirmation on a potential sequel, Lionsgate and Haim Saban are apparently “in discussion” to make a second movie happen.
In an interview with ScreenRant, Director Dean Israelite explained where things currently stand on another installment into the Power Rangers movie franchise.
“It’s obviously not up to me, but I know Lionsgate and Saban are talking in earnest about it, and are trying to push forward. They’re having a discussion.” – Director Dean Israelite in an interview with Screenrant.
Fans will continue to await until an official announcement is made, but talks between both sides is certainly an encouraging sign.
Among the areas a sequel would likely dive into include the introduction of Tommy Oliver, the Green Ranger, as well as the evil arch-nemesis of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Lord Zedd.
For now, fans can own Saban’s Power Rangers movie on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD as it hits stores on June 27.
