On March 21, 2018, one of the most highly anticipated Power Rangers comic events will kick off – Power Rangers: Shattered Grid (full recap here).
But on May 5, comic book publisher BOOM! Studios will offer a Power Rangers: Shattered Grid tie-in issue completely FREE of charge!
On Free Comic Book Day, fans can head to their local shops to pick up the story of how Zordon turns to the Morphin Masters for help in the Power Rangers’ darkest hour as the Rangers battle Lord Drakkon—an evil version of Tommy, the Green Ranger, from an alternate reality. The issue will be written by Kyle Higgins (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) and Ryan Parrott (Saban’s Go Go Power Rangers) and illustrated by Diego Galindo (Jim Butcher’s The Dresden Files: Dog Men).

Power Rangers: Shattered Grid will span across issues of BOOM! Studios’ Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comics, Saban’s Go Go Power Rangers comics, and two special one-shot spinoffs. It all kicks off in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #25, written by Kyle Higgins and Danielle Di Nicuolo, set for release inside a sealed black polybag to prevent the shocking events inside from being spoiled.
The story line will follow Lord Drakkon – who’s returned with a newly reformed deadly army that threatens the existence of every Power Ranger ever. In order to combat the threat, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers will join forces with popular faces and teams from all across the franchise’s 25-year history in an event like never seen before.
