The first-ever Power Rangers theme park will be coming to Dubai!
As part of IGM’s newest Worlds of Legends theme park, Saban Brands will be one of nine featured brands that will each receive a specific zone within the theme park’s 2 million square foot property, as revealed by IGM CEO Leonard Otto.
IGM currently owns a Worlds of Adventure theme park in Dubai, and will open Worlds of Legends as an even larger, accompanying theme park, similar to how Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure operates in Orlando, Florida.
Accompanying Power Rangers inside the all-new park will be other brands such as Ninja Turtles, Assassin’s Creed, Pokemon, and Spongebob Squarepants.
The entirety of the park will sport a retractable roof, allowing for Worlds of Legends to operate even in the cooler months. When finished, Worlds of Legends would become the world’s largest operating indoor theme park.
Aside from the expected roller coasters and various thrill attractions, Worlds of Legends will also feature over 104,000 square feet of themed food and beverage choices, as well as over 102,000 square feet of themed merchandise shops.
While no ride specifics or project timetable were currently laid out, IGM did introduce its plan to connect both of its theme parks using a sky bridge walkway. Attendees will have the option to purchase day-passes for either World of Legends, or Worlds of Adventure, with the option to park hop between the two.
Power Rangers already has a history of being featured with Dubai, including numerous live action shows hosted in the region for Power Rangers Megaforce and Power Rangers Dino Charge. Can fans expect these live shows to be incorporated with other Power Rangers themed rides and attractions when its first ever park of this caliber opens?
With nearly 25 years of history under its belt, the possibilities for Power Rangers in its first adventure of this kind appear to be endless. Perhaps Power Rangers Turbo Bumper Cars? Or a Power Rangers S.P.D. shooter gallery similar to Disney’s Buzz Lightyear attraction? Maybe a kiddie coaster on the Power Rangers Mystic Force dragon?
