The next Super Sentai season, Uchuu Sentai Kyuranger, already features a jam-packed lineup of 9 Rangers, and will now be adding a 10th and 11th hero to the fray!
Today, fans can get their first clear look at the brand new Purple and Sky Blue Rangers who will be joining the team!
The 10th hero, a male Purple Ranger, will be played by the season’s mentor, Shon Ronbou. The character’s Zord/Mecha will be based on a Dragon and his weaponry will consist of a dragon-themed staff. Above, fans can check out all the new gear coming to RyuuCommander, the Purple Ranger.
Not much is known yet about the 11th hero, a Light Blue/Cyan Ranger. Going by the name Koguma Sky Blue, the character’s identity, gender, and full suit have yet to be revealed. However, fans can check out the first look at the hero’s Zord/Mecha above: a pair of twins resembling a Bear.
The reveals, all from The Geek Cauldron, also give fans their first look at a brand new power-up mode that will be harness by the Red Ranger, where the team’s leader will be able to harness the powers of the sun and moon.
Uchuu Sentai Kyuranger premieres on February 12, 2017. The season has the potential to be adapted overseas as a season of Power Rangers in 2019.
