Austin St. John Returning For Power Rangers Beast Morphers

It’s morphin’ time, Power Rangers fans!

The original Red Ranger from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is returning for a special teamup on Power Rangers Beast Morphers! Portrayed by actor Austin St. John, Jason Scott will make his first return to the Power Rangers TV show since hanging up his cleats after ‘Forever Red’, the special 10th anniversary teamup during Power Rangers Wild Force.

The teamup episode will not take place until Power Rangers Beast Morphers‘ second season, due to air on Nickelodeon in 2020. The cast of Power Rangers Beast Morphers is currently in New Zealand wrapping up filming on their second season.

Austin St. John also portrayed the Gold Ranger on Power Rangers Zeo.

The teamup episode is expected to adapt footage from the dino-themed team-up featuring Super Sentai’s Zyuranger, Abaranger, & Kyoryuger (known as Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Power Rangers Dino Thunder, & Power Rangers Dino Charge overseas).

Rumors suggest that other legendary Power Rangers may return for the teamup episode, including Brennan Mejia (Tyler the Red Ranger from Power Rangers Dino Charge), Yoshi Sudarso (Koda the Blue Ranger from Power Rangers Dino Charge), and James Davies (Chase the Black Ranger from Power Rangers Dino Charge).

Photos of characters from Power Rangers Dino Charge on the set of Power Rangers Beast Morphers had previously leaked online, including Keeper and an army of Vivix.

Fans will have to wait until 2020 to find out more about Hasbro’s plans for the legendary Red Rangers’ return!

Power Rangers Beast Morphers will have 22 episodes, and air on Nickelodeon throughout 2019 (click here to recap). Episodes currently air every Saturday at 8am ET on Nickelodeon.

Fans can check out the official Power Rangers Beast Morphers synopsis below.

Set in the future, a secret agency combines a newly discovered substance called “Morph-X” with animal DNA to create the Power Rangers Beast Morphers team. The Rangers must fight off an evil sentient computer virus bent on taking over the source of all Ranger power, the Morphin Grid itself. Featuring never-before-seen leather suits and an all-new beast-themed arsenal (including dynamic new Zords), fans should get ready for a season full of secret ops and morphinominal fun.

Power Rangers Beast Morphers stars Rorrie Travis as Devon the Red Ranger, Jasmeet Baduwalia as Ravi the Blue Ranger, Jackie Scislowski as Zoey the Yellow Ranger, Abraham Rodriguez as Nate, Colby Strong as Blaze, Liana Ramirez as Roxy, Kristina Ho as Betty, and Cosme Flores as Ben.

Austin St. John’s return was first reported by That Hashtag Show.

  1. I wonder if the actors who play Conner, Kira and Ethan from Dino Thunder.
If Hasbro is going to do original footage for it, I starting to wonder if we could also see either Tommy (which I doubt), Trent from Dino Thunder or the other Dino Charge Rangers (Gold, Graphite, Aqua, Purple, Silver)
One thing is for sure, if Hasbro puts the amount of great effort of Beast Morphers that we’ve already seen into the Triple Dino episode it’s going to be GREAT

      1. You just posted the same comment twice, one as a reply to the other.

And I doubt they can get the Dino Thunder main 3 back. Napier isn’t up for returning, Duhaney is back in Canada doing voiceovers and Lahana has a regular gig on Cloak and Dagger.

  2. Does this mean Goldar is returning? (The Sentai version of this episode had its equivalent of Goldar return in an upgraded form).

    1. There is always a possibility that they will just call it by a different name rather than link it to Goldar. They did the same thing with Snide as that was originally supposed to be “Neo-Zeltrax”, as in a upgraded version of Zeltrax from Power Rangers Dino Thunder. They obviously decided to just make him a new character. Personally, I would have loved it to be Neo-Zeltrax but then the Heckyl storyline wouldn’t be possible.

  3. I’m hoping they all return or at least the Red Rangers.

If the cast of Dino Thunder & Mighty Morphin don’t return, I’m hoping they do a Beast Morphers/Dino Charge Team-Up.

If be great to see past Rangers & giving them the spotlight other than Tommy.

  4. The first power ranger team up that hasn’t been part of an anniversary. Hopefully they can get other rangers but if not having Jason is just as good

  5. So, I guess an Original Megaforce & Beast Morpher team up is either no more or not gonna happen, is that true?

  6. This is the best new ever I cant not wait next year in 2020 for season 2 of power rangers beast morphers. new show new season. Thank to Hasbro power rangers is going back to be more better then ever before . I do love all the power rangers seasons. But I know that Hasbro will do there best at this and make it more better for the power rangers fans as well.

    1. I think it will depend on whether they can work in the US market, where trains and cubes aren’t as popular

  7. I Hope Tommy comes back. Would like to see more about J.J. Is Kate J.J. mom? Are Tommy & Kate Married?
